query_posts multiple custom taxonomies

I am having trouble using query posts with custom taxonomies. I am able to retrieve posts using one taxonomy but cannot use two.

I have assigned two taxonomies (age-group and skills). When I use query_post it will only return results for one of them, but not both. I want to be able to get posts that have a certain age-group assigned that are only part of a certain skill set.
