Query strings on image resizes

  • I had images that were getting resized from 700×700 to 400×400 for a thumbnail project template. I have resized the images to 400×400 and regenerated the thumbnails but I am still seeing the code as “…..17067a22b_o.jpg?resize=400%2C400&ssl=1” for the image.
    The ? is generating “errors in GTMetrix, Pingdom etc. and I was wondering if there is a way of removing the “?resize……..”

    I’ve tried using the Remove Query Strings plug-ins with no success.
