Query re: URL parameter to form
-
Hi there,
I have been using the WordPress-to-Lead plugin for the last few weeks on a site I’m working with, and it’s fantastic! So thanks a million for all the devs who’ve worked on it, it saves so much time.
I’ve been playing with it though, and wanted to see if the following is possible.
We have a form set up which is working. We had our lead source being set to %URL% so that it would fill in the page the lead came from. However, as some of our website url’s are SEO’ed or have added parameters (eg, appended tags from Google) it is cropping them at 40 characters as per the limits to a picklist from Salesforce.
However, we add a lot of parameters to our clicks from advertising partners and even between pages, so I was trying to see if there’s a way I can put the page info, ie htttp://url.com/page/?var1=xxx&var2=yyy , into one of the other fields?
I tried to see if it could be put into another field, that won’t have the restriction? I tried to put the %URL% field against the URL field in the fields of WordPress-to-lead, but this just filled it in at https://%URL
Is there any way I can do this?
Thanks!
Jamie
