For some reason Query Monitor makes our backend incredibly slow. Page load time in the backend is twice as long, sometimes thrice. I cannot figure out what’s causing it. Can you please help?

Your server may be close to its memory limit or CPU usage limit, and the additional impact of QM collecting data for the site could cause it to struggle. Memory usage is displayed on the Overview panel, but QM doesn’t track CPU usage. I’ve never seen this great an impact though, and if the front end performance remains ok then I’m not sure what the issue could be.

I can’t help directly as this would be a full time job for me, but your best approach is always to try deactivating your other plugins one by one, to try switching to one of the default “Twenty” themes, and see if you can find a particular culprit.
