• hi folks
i have upgraded to the latest wordpress.
thankyou to all the wordpress developers.

QUERY … since updating to latest wordpress version.
The manage pages lists all pages by date now.
In last version they were listed by ID number.

    QUESTION
is this what was meant to happen?

IF YES, then i am not sure what to do … i am relying on the ID numbers to use a MAJOR plugin “Multi-Pages Widget”. it works by entering page ID numbers you wish to exclude from sidebar.

    any clues for me?
    thankyou for your time.

  • 1) you should avoid using the word ‘query’ in your thread titles unless your problem is related to your SQL database. Extracting information from a database is called a query.

    2) you can hover your mouse over the page title to see the link in the bottom ‘status bar’ of your web browser. The page=X number at the bottom there shows X as the ID of the page in question.

    3) yes, removing that information, with a strong history of plugins and template tags which rely on category and page IDs was short-sighted and seems like it came from someone who doesn’t actually use wordpress very much.
