Hi, thanks again for the awesome plugin.

I’ve recently started using Query Monitor on my site to help speed it up. I noticed that Typesense plugin fires a GET query to /collections/post on every page load. This query takes 0.45s, which is a pretty long time for a single query.

I am wondering, is there a way to cache (or avoid) the query somehow?

One note: it seems to only be called on the part of the site that’s not cached by Nitropack. (the logged-in membership site experience). For non-logged-in users the site is blazing fast, it seems like it’s not the issue.

    Thanks!

    Hello @dimqen ,

We appreciate your usage of our plugin.

Concerning the GET query, opting for Replace with Autocomplete instead of Replace with Instant Search in the Replace WordPress Search option allows you to bypass the query.

When utilizing Replace with Instant Search, it is necessary to load the search instance in the footer for the popup to function correctly, resulting in a request being made on every page. Therefore, using Autocomplete could be a potential solution.

Please inform us if this suggestion proves beneficial.

    Regards,
    Sachyya
