We are looking at using the Aelia ‘Prices by Country’ plugin. I contacted them to ask if it would work with SliceWP. They responded stating they didn’t know, but they said this regarding your plugin…

If it takes the amount paid for each item, then it should calculate the commission correctly, as the prices would be the ones effectively paid.

So is SliceWP taking the actual amount paid for the item to calculate commissions? Seems it must be because I believe that when a customer uses a discount coupon it calculates the commission on the discounted amount.

    Hey @simeoncn,

Thank you for reaching out! I’m not familiar with how the Prices by Country plugin works under the hood, however, what I can tell you is how SliceWP works.

To calculate the commission, SliceWP goes through each of the order’s product line items and grabs the total of the item. The total is the amount that the user has paid on checkout for the product, which is product price minus any discounts applied. If you include/exclude tax from the calculations, this will be taken into account as well for calculating the commission.

If the Prices by Country plugin sets the line item’s prices when the order is created, then everything should work nicely.

    Thank you and best wishes,

    Mihai
