Quantity defaults to 0

Why have a quantity field defaults to zero? If someone selects a date to get something, they would likely at least want to get 1. I don’t go to the store to buy 0 apples. ??

Additionally, we have set the rental item to 1 per day, at this point, it seems like the best user experience would be to not be able to adjust quantity at all?
