• I was almost done configuring it when a duplicate cookie notice bar appeared in the footer (only the header was supposed to be enabled). A couple of Chrome Incognito hard page refreshes and cookie and cache clears later, the duplicate was still there. Clicking “Accept” in the banner I wanted no longer worked; I had to click “OK” in the duplicate bar in the footer instead, but this didn’t dismiss the banner in the header. I couldn’t get rid of it. And “Decline” didn’t remove the cookies, either.
I went back into the settings to try toggling them, to see if that would “reset” the broken banner. Then suddenly and surprisingly, the plugin deleted itself from WordPress, losing my work.
It made me glad I hadn’t bought the Pro version yet. That’s the first time I’ve seen a plugin self-destruct like that. Rather unsettling.

    Hi @courtneyschwartz,

Our plugin has more than 300,000+ active users and none have reported any such issues before. However, we are willing to check if there is any bug and provide a fix, if any.

Kindly check if you have included the wp_footer hook in your theme twice. If you require our assistance in checking this, please reach us via support link here with site details.
