    Hi,
    (wordpress 4.2.2 qTranslate X v3.3)
I use qTranslate X in few sites and the rtl is fine. In a fresh site I work on now, the dir is not changing to RTL when he_IL is on.
I tried making the Hebrew none default.
I tried to disable all other plugins (not so many installed)
I tried to use one of the default themes. (The site theme is made from scratch with _s )
    None worked!

To test, I installed the plugin “Wordpress languages”. When it is acrive the dir=”rtl” is added correctly.
I used it with and without qTranslate X activated and in both cases it is OK
(though they interfere in the admin language selection)

The strange thing is that a site I built last week with almost the same configuration works well with the rtl.

    Any advice?
    Thanks,
    Yehuda

go to Settings – Languages – Languages and edit your Hebrew language.

What is under – Language Code and Locale?

    Language Code: He

This is case sensitive…. correct He?

    (@yehudat)

That is the correct capitalizing and it works on other site with exact same settings.

Anyways, I tried both with the same results (not dir=rtl).

    (not dir=rtl).

where you want to see it, can you give me an example?

when I switch to rtl language I must have it in
    <html lang=”he-IL” dir=”rtl”>
That is the flag for WP to load rtl.css. (which handles the rtl alignment)

    Sorry for bumping…
    Any thoughts on the issue?

there are many changes in the upcoming version 3.4, so please try the latest Beta version Download it here
See if that makes a difference.

Do not use install via WordPress admin!
    First unzip the new file.
Deactivate the existing version of qTranslate in WordPress admin.
Then with FTP delete all files in the existing qtranslate-x folder and after that copy all new files in it.
Activate qTranslate-x again via WordPress admin.

    Hi Gunu,
Thank you for the beta download.
It is my bad and not the plugin.
I did not add the he_IL.mo and he_IL.po to the \wp-content\languages\ (I only used the theme he_IL.mo and he_IL.po in \wp-content\themes\themeName)

Adding the additional main translation fixed the issue.
I hope this will help others and sorry for the trouble.
(I installed the beta and it works ok)

    Thank you,
    Yehuda

    Hi Gunu,
What is going on with qTranslate X?
    No plugin in the repository.
No message on the plugin site.
    Can’t access the forum.

I install it via FTP from backups. (need to fix the widget, though)
