• Many thanks for qtranslate developing.

We ve choosed qtranslate than other pay plugin, because it is free and works very well, but ..

Hi, i ve just updated to wordpress last version 5.0.1, blocks and some change in editing modes, etc. It is not simple to translate with qtranslate, flags are dissapeared, so all it must be edited handly. We are working in a regency theme for a year to start our project 2019 January 7, and we must finish some posts and retouch some pages. We are very …. about this.

Do you know what we can do about it?
what will you do in next days about compatibility between wordpress and qtranslate?

    thanks

  • Hi,

I have one website running qtranslate-x also and found the same problems after upgrading to WP5. I installed Classic Editor and with Classic Editor it works just fine.

Classic editor visual mode per example, but i lost qtranslate flags, so i must to do handly with [:en] [:fr] [:es] [:].

I think is more work than before, and the real problem is that qtranslatex is not more supported from 2016.

    isnt it?

could you push up a screenshot of your screen in classic mode please?

Yes of course. This is a multilangual site. WP5 with installed Classic Editor. I have on top, as you see, my languages. Editing is just like before. The [:en][:fr][:] tags works also.

Do you mean to install Classic Editor to put off Block Editor?

    And …

If Qtranslate is not more supported what do you think in a short future??

    thanks

    Hi Kalitat,

Yest indeed. You install Classic Editor. Then you can choose to use the new editor or Classic editor. in the site where i use qtranslate-x I only use the Classic Editor only. And all is working fine.

I think there is no problem in a short future. QTranslate works, so wy should it stop working?

I hops some developers will start go on developing the plugin because it is a very nice plugin. So that’s the question for long future.

Yes it works. It seems wordpress prefers block system than others. I didnt know when i update to latest wordpress it lost classic editor, it is like a option with a plugin right now. I was crazy about it, thanks 4 your help.

Good dat it works now ??

At last I found the courage (after having made backups of course!!) to upgrade to WordPress 5.0.3 and the Classic Editor plugin. Thank God, qTranslate-X still works perfectly … alles im Grünen ??

    Dear all,
    Could you help me?
My website not support plugin qtranslate when i have upgrade to version wordpress 5.2.
    What can i do?

Try to install Classic Editor plugin. May be if you read posts …

I found a serious incompatibility issue. When accessing the media library through ‘add media’ button in a post/page the library is not available and does not allow to add any images. Does anyone have a fix for this? Otherwise the plugin is useless. Thank you.

install qtranslate xt you can find in internet. you can upload it and when activated delete the previous one, it works very well.
