qtranslate – switch language of widgets

Hi

I’ve been using qtranslate to translate a website between English and Russian. All the content translates correctly, however, I would also like to translate the text content of the widgets I have used in the sidebar, depending on what language is selected. I understand I may need to use a conditional PHP ‘if’ statement and pull it in using custom fields but I have little experience with using either. Can anyone help me?
