    hi there,
wanting to migrate my Blog from qtranslate-X to WP Multilang. I already read in the comments that it is easy, but could someone give me advice on how exatly this works, pleas?

    1) should I first deactivate qtranslate-X, before installing / activating WP Multilang?
    2) to use the import from qtranslate-x function in the additional settings, must QTX be active or deactivated or even deleted?
    3) are there other problems I should take a look? e.g. Are all values automatically imported (blog posts, pages, categories, …); or is there work after transfering?

a migration tutorial would be perfect – especially for me, just being a “normal” user, nor expert.

Thanks a lot for help and of course for the work done!
    Cheers Gerhard

    1. Before installing/uninstalling, make database backup.
    2. Install WP Multilang. Not activate.
    2. Deactivate qTranslate-X.
    3. Activate WP Multilang.
    4. Create in root of your theme file ‘wpm-config.json’.
    5. Add all needed post types, taxonomies, options, fields to ‘wpm-config.json’.
    6. Import term names from qTranslate.
    7. Check that everything is okay.
    8. If everything is okay, remove qTranslate. Else restore database from backup.

Thanks a lot. Now I was able to keep WP updated, again! Thanks a lot for this plugin.

Everything went fine – even that I haven’t created the suggested wpm-config.json. I tried it first locally and there was no need for it. So I left it in the production mode too. Without any problems.
The only thing is that the Switcher is somewhat different, but I will dig into that topic in the next days.
Again. Thanks for your help and the creation of that plugin.
Cheers and Greetings from Salzburg, Austria.
