QSM results emails not sending after woocom/WP update

Hi all,
We have issues with QSM emails not sending after a QSM/woocom/WP update.
It was working all fine before the update but stopped sending emails after the updates (a restore also did not solve the problem).
background processing of emails is set to off (also tried with on but not working) and all other emails from the WP site seem to come through ok apart from QSM (e.g reg/contact forms all send email through ok, seems to be QSM plugin issue). Not using SMTP
Can anyone help with this, please?
