    Hi,

    We are using QSM for our client site. Everything works well. Only issue is that we do not receive email notification when someone fills contact form. We are using contact form to show before the quiz. I also could not find where to add the recipient email to receive these contact form notifications.

    Hi Amit,

    Thank you for reaching out to us, and I apologize for the delay in responding. Here are the steps to ensure you receive email notifications from the contact form in QSM:

    1. Email Recipients Setup:
    • While editing your form (quiz, survey, or simple form), go to the Emails tab.
    • To send emails to participants, enter the variable %USER_EMAIL% in the “Who to send the email to?” field.
    • To send emails to yourself or the quiz maker, add the recipient email address in the same field on a separate result page. Click here

    1. Send Email Notifications:
    • Ensure that the “Send email notifications” setting is enabled. This can be found under the Options tab within the Quiz Submissions section. Click here
    1. SMTP Setup:
    • If you have completed the steps above and are still not receiving emails, please check your SMTP setup. You can follow our detailed documentation here.

    We are positive that you should be able to receive the emails on every submission using the above mentioned steps, however, if these steps doesn’t help you, please feel free to let us know. We’re happy to assist further.

    HI Sadiya,

    Thanks for your reply. I did all the settings but still I am not receiving the emails. Haven’t tried to setup SMTP because I am already using a contact form plugin (FluentForms) and I am receiving the contact form emails successfully without any additional SMTP setup. Could you please let me know if anything additional I have to do.

    Thank you for sharing the quiz URL with us. We’ve reviewed the website and identified a couple of areas that may help improve your email delivery.

    Some of your emails might be landing in spam folders because SMTP isn’t being used. While this isn’t directly caused by QSM, using SMTP can help ensure emails reach inboxes reliably. If you prefer not to use SMTP, please advise your quiz takers to mark your email address as a known contact to prevent future emails from going to spam. If emails still go to spam, they can mark them as “Not Spam” to ensure delivery.

    Also, we noticed an issue with the /QUESTIONS_ANSWERS_EMAIL variable in your email template. To fix this, navigate to QSM > Emails tab > Click on “Insert Template Variables” > Select %QUESTIONS_ANSWERS_EMAIL% > Save changes. This adjustment should ensure your template functions correctly.
