Hello everyone. Great forum! I hope I have the right one and don’t need the .com site(?).

I’ve begun setting up my WP site, which came with my JustHost account. I’ve updated to the new version, and so far, I’m liking what I see :). However, I have a few questions. If these questions have been answered elsewhere I sincerely apologize.

I’d like my site to be a free membership based site to help with future spamming, with a double verify (email) type of deal. First of all, is there a (free?) plugin for something like this? Secondly, would such a setup interfere with SEO, even if I have installed a domain mapping plugin?

Also, I read somewhere on the net that there’s a fee if there are over 35 members. IS this the case even if my WP is hosted on my hosting company as my domain?

Lastly, I was wondering if anyone has any recommendations for a good opt-in email plugin, again double verified by email. I ‘do’ have auto responders and such on my JustHost hosting account, if that matters. Since I’m just starting this, free is better, but also will consider paid plugins.

Thanks in advance :). I hope to learn enough from experience to some help another as well.

Many. Justin Tadlock’s ‘Members’ plugin can do this.

    Nope.

WordPress is free, as in beer. Use it how you want ?? No costs.

Depends what for. Emails for posts, use Subscribe2. Newsletters, I know some people have great success with MailChimp.

Thank you very much Ipstenu :), I’ll definitely check out those plugins. As for the email, I was thinking more in line of using it for sending update notices to members. Then again, that could be accomplished via RSS feeds I guess(?). I don’t know…..

That’s just a standard email list ?? I would check out mailchimp if your server doesn’t have something installed for it. (I use MailMan with an RSS to Email tool)
