Hi! I’m still in the testing phase, but I just can’t figure out what’s the problem with the QR code URL option.

On options, it clearly says: The URL should be absolute, if you like to provide the generated QR image to your customers. The image can be retrieved within the serial code area. The code detail contains a button for it.

When I put Absolute URL: https://www.mywebsite.com/validation/?code={CODE}&action=validate I can’t find anywhere QR generated image, nor in customer email nor in “My Orders”… All I would like is: Customer scans his QR code and that product Serial number will fill automatically in the box to check if it’s a real product and etc.

Hello, there is no QR Code image stored on your server. It is just displayed. You can save then the image to your file system on your computer or mobile phone and send it to someone. This feature is created to print the QR Code and have it where your customer can scan it.

The QR Code is not for sale, nor can you add it as a product in your woocommerce store. It is just to support you with your marketing effort.

    Hope this helps.

Sorry, I think we didn’t understand each other, my bad, I will try to explain better!

Let’s say I want to sell a typical product that has a serial number and it would be nice to have validation on-site.

Your plugin generates a custom serial number which works great, and validation works too if the customer writes it down manually.

But maybe there is an option to generate QR Code that goes directly to validation?

I found this option in your plugin: The URL should be absolute, if you like to provide the generated QR image to your customers. The image can be retrieved within the serial code area. The code detail contains a button for it.

This URL works great: https://www.mywebsite.com/validation/?code={CODE}&action=validate but how can I have it in QR code format? or is it not possible?

    Hello Andrius380

if you go to the admin area and open the details of the serial code, then at to top there are 2 buttons to render the QR code.
The second button can contain an URL (to be set in the options).
To make the URL that way it prefill the validation form go with:
    https://www.mywebsite.com/validation/?code={CODE}&action=validate

Then go back to the code and click on the second button. You will see the QR code image with the URL in it. The URL is also displayed above the QR code image.

The QR code image can not be placed for now to the purchase email. If this it what you were looking for.
