    Hi,

On multiple sites, and using multiple browsers (Google Chrome, Firefox, MS Edge), I get a very high CPU% usage while developer tools open, and I believe it’s because devtools keeps checking for site issues when I refresh, and it’s finding hundreds of issues with the markup that’s added to a page by QM, for example

      tags that have no direct

    • descendants. Whenever I deactivate QM, I have no more issues.

Every time I refresh a page while devtools is open, my CPU % spikes, and my fans ramp up. It takes a few minutes before devtools is done checking for issues and then the CPU% goes down again, but while working on a site I of course refresh pages a lot!

Could you please look into this?

To be honest that’s not something that I can fix in QM (at least not at the moment). I don’t believe that’s default functionality of the dev tools so if that’s an automated scan that’s happening I suggest you disable it from running automatically or only run it when QM isn’t active.

Are you able to reproduce it at all?

It’s a default feature. Here’s a screenshot of what I mean if I wasn’t clear. This is on a vanilla Chromium instance on Manjaro Linux.

In this case there’s 1 issue reported. But when I work and have QM enabled, I’m getting hundreds of issues and the browser won’t stop until it’s done checking.

So far I haven’t been able to find out how to disable this, but I’ll do some digging.

Let me know if I can help with debugging.
