Q&A email shortcodes and from email not working

    To start off I really like what this plugin can do but I have had nothing but troubles over the first week with bugs on other support tickets. I sure hope this is not how things normally work with your plugin…Now to my current problem.

    The Q&A reply notification email shortcodes are not working correctly. The email shows the shortcode and not the data. I tested on my staging site with only your plugin and Woocommerce active and it’s still not working. I then deleted the plugin and reinstalled it. Now it works fine but I do not want to do this on my live site and lose all the settings as I have spent a lot of time getting everything dialed in nicely.

    Also, the email template for Q&A replies will not update the “From” email. It shows correctly within the template but not on the emails tab page. The test messages confirm that it’s not using the correct from email too. This must be another bug…

    We were able to reproduce this problem on our test site and it should be fixed in the next update of the plugin.

    The update did fix the from email issue but it did not fix the shortcode display issue. The email still shows the shortcodes and both the data that should replace them.

    Could you please provide more details about the issue with the shortcode display? Do you mean ‘shortcodes’ or ’email variables’? It is possible to use variables in emails but it is not possible to use shortcodes in emails.

    Also, could you please share a screenshot of this issue? The screenshot that you shared above didn’t not show any issue with shortcodes.

    I did share the screenshots in the previous link. This is what is being sent and as you can see, the fields are not being filled with the customer name, product, etc.

This is a test email with a test answer. 'Ann' is a name of a fictional person who posted a question. 'John' is a name of a fictional person who posted an answer. If somebody replies to a real question, these fictional names will be replaced with actual names.

    Thanks for providing additional information!

    The problem is that you modified the variables. They should be lowercase but you added some uppercase characters. For example, it should be {customer_name} instead of {customer_Name}.

    Please copy and paste variable names exactly like they are shown in the legend below the email body editor.

    That did correct the problem. I have no idea how that happened as I didn’t capitalize them…Thanks for your help.
