PWA for WP messes favicon in search results

I recently updated the website mentioned in this topic with the PWA for WP plugin, as it was suggested by the “Accelerated Mobile Pages” plugin.
However, In the same time my website started to lose the favicon in Google mobile searches. I checked and double-checked all settings and I don’t seem to find the cause of this problem. I have set the favicon that I use in the App icon and App Splash Screen Icon in PWA for WP, but nothing changes.
All mobile search results of the website in Google display the “Globe” icon which I guess it’s a default one. I can notice a small part of other websites displaying the same icon, so I guess, they encounter the same issue.
