My goal would be to use wordpress and have it look and ideally be in my current website as a series of pages beneath an existing website. I’d like the simplest method, but want it to look like the rest of my site. Do I need to install wordpress on my system for this? If I do install it, do I lose the connectivity and features (such as people discovering my feed) from wordpress.com? Is there a way to do it on wordpress.com and integrated it into my website?

    Thanks! Derek Beck (blog newbie)

thanks for all of the insights. I’m still debating w/ myself on going www.remarpro.com or wordpress.com…

PS: I want the custom CSS but don’t want to pay wordpress.com for that feature… On the other hand, I’d like the simplicity and care-free operation of wordpress.com…

    Here’s another way to decide…

If you know what you are doing technically, and have the time to maintain the blog in terms of plugin and core upgrades plus have the time to provide content, and love coding/hacking then www.remarpro.com is the way to go

If you are incompetent technically, don’t know where to begin on how to upgrade, plus you don’t bother to read the documentation and/or search this forum for help, then wordpress.com is the way to go. Oh, and if you don’t have enough time and/or just want to focus on the content side then wordpress.com is also the way to go.

yeah, i think i’m leaning toward www.remarpro.com. the time is the only concern, really. But I want the css and especially the ability to have the blog at mywebsite.com w/o paying extra for that (i don’t believe wordpress.com will allow that freely).

You’re still going to have to pay for a domain name… that’s the least of your worries considering how cheap it is… then you’ll also have to get a decent host and pay monthly for that.
