• Hi:

My blog has a graphic header that doesnt require a title…but if I remove the Weblog title and Tagline from my home page (using Options), it also removes any title from the top of the browser window (so that it just reads “Mozilla Firefox”).

Can anyone suggest a way of putting the blog title back in the browser bar, without having it in the header?

    Thanks!

  • You really, really need to have the blog name and tagline specified in admin > options. If you’re using a graphic header, one solution is to use your stylesheet to hide them.

I can’t offer you any more advice since (1) you have no content on your website, unless I use flash — which I don’t and (2) you offer no way of getting past your splash page to the main content.

    Thanks for the reply.

Why is it important to have a blog title and tagline, if I dont need them to appear in the header? Is this to help the blog visible to search engines, etc?

And…can you suggest a way to hide them through the stylesheet? Can the font-size be set to zero…or?
