Putting Blocks Side by Side

Is there a way to put blocks beside each other? I want to have an RSS feed block take up the left half of the page and a Latest Posts block to take up the remaining right half of the webpage. I want them to be side by side, not on top of each other. Is this possible? I guess they could be put into a table, but a table doesn’t scale down well for mobile if the table is too large.
