Put the whole category tree to wordpress menu

  • Hello, I have more than 400 product categories and I need a way, how can I put them to wordpress menu, because default wordpress functionality is not enough… Is there any way how can I do it?
    I need to have items in appearance->menus, php snippet is not enough, cause I need to deselect few (7) subcategories from menu after that.

    Hi there!

    The only way to do it within the appearance > customize > menu option (which is better than just Appearance > Menu) is to manually click on all of the ones that you need to add. There is not a way to automate or “add all”

    Depending on your theme design, you may need to consider some type of Mega Menus plugin to help the design/use-ability of the menu after adding all the categories.

    Or, perhaps consider creating sub-menus.

    That’s really sad, WordPress has no such feature in 2021!!!
    I have added all items one-by-one and it took 3 hours of my life ??
