Put Captions Inside Link Tags

Hi, I’m using this with the default Gutenberg gallery block and I was wondering if there was an easy way to include the figcaption inside the link tag please?

I have images that I use as links to another page and I have a caption that appears on hover, whilst the image behind it will work as a link, as soon as you move the mouse over the caption right in the middle of the image you lose the ability to click the link.

Having tested using chrome’s inspector, moving the closing to after the caption rather than before it and it works as desired.

I don’t know how easy this would be have as an option, perhaps per gallery as well?
