Hi, I am using OneSignal on my wordpress blog for push notifications.

Since the activation of your plugin, I am having issues with OneSignal.

Am I the only one? does it help do put my IP on the whitelist? Or do you have another advice?

According to OneSignal, the problem is linked to changed paths.

    Cheers, Eric

    ??Hi Eric,

    Thank you for reaching out.

From what you describe it sounds like OneSignal doesn’t work with custom paths. Would you mind reaching out to them and see if they can support this? Or at least which paths are they referring to.

As for whitelisting your IP, that unfortunately will not help.

Also, what you can try is to use the predefined paths from Safe Mode (select it and save the settings), and enable Late Loading from Advanced > Compatibility.

Hi Peter, I did check with OneSignal, that’s what they told me:

That’s correct, it is expecting a file here: https://lostineu.eu/wp-content/plugins/onesignal-free-web-push-notifications/sdk_files/OneSignalSDKWorker.js

    But its actually here: https://lostineu.eu/core/modules/cc1cff0190/sdk_files/OneSignalSDKWorker.js?appId=8a6b067a-39a2-41ba-af7a-982aea1e2f20&sdkVersion=151604

Can you ask how to prevent certain paths being redirected.

Well, how can I prevent this issue?

Try adding the path under Change Paths > Level of Security > Whitelist Paths.

Or the other solution would be to remove the custom wp-content path from Change Paths > WP Core Security > Custom wp-content Path, but we don’t recommend this as it will decrease your website security.

The best solution would be for them to use the custom path instead.

Hi Peter, thanks for your help, but I couldn’t find the Whitelist path option. It is not in the manual, either. So I abandoned and uninstalled the plugin.

    That is quite strange.
Would you mind sending us a screenshot from Change Paths > Level of Security?

This is what you should see.

I see, you are using the free version of the plugin, which I wasn’t aware of.

The whitelist path option is available only for the premium version of the plugin which you can get from our Pricing Page, where we currently have a Black Friday deal.
