Purge failed: File purge rate limited.

  • Despite that cloudflare allows for 1200 purges within 5 min I do get above log message after 50 pages max. I do purging by a cron job every 6 min. Maybe there are more API calls per single purge necessary? I will check that. I also noted that comments that are not approved yet and marked as spam and deleted are generating lots of purge request (after my understanding they should not generate purges at all since they are never visible on the site just in wp-admin.

    I looked at the comment purges a little bit more. Deleting a unapproved comment generates a ton of /page/### rows in wp_wpss_clear and I don’t know why. But maybe I did not yet got how this stuff is working.
