• BEWARE THIS PLUGIN unless you like your web host threatening you.

WordPress Plugins that need updating can trigger support requests from web hosts. Some web hosts threaten taking a website offline until the plugins are updated. The web hosts act like there is a pending disaster and nag the hell out their own clients until they comply.

Share Buttons by AddToAny has crossed the line by updating much to frequently.

Once a month should be adequate to provide enhancements, marketing opportunities and security updates. More than that is irresponsible.

Your frustration is misdirected, but I empathize with your problem.

A lot of care is taken per plugin release and the chagelog demonstrates that.

The problem is your host issuing unfounded (torturous?!) threats, and a related problem is that the plugins repository doesn’t offer a feed for plugin security advisories.
