Hi I have upgraded to the premium version of this plugin because I could not get the map to load and I saw in a pervious post the author said serious work needed to be done on the standard free version.

Now all of a sudden when I enable this plugin it breaks my site and stops it from loading. It seems to be conflicting with JavaScript libraries, has anyone else experienced these problems?

    Thanks.
    Brett

  • My experience is that when the plugin causes something to break in this way it is usually because a theme or plugin is loading jquery directly instead of using the proper wordpress functions, which means that when the FYN plugin checks to see if jQuery is already loaded, it cannot find it and tries to load it again. This has always been a problem with other themes or plugins, not with the FYN in the past, but without looking at code I cannot confirm… if you are still having an issue with the premium version email me and I will take a look…

I had this same issue when I purchased the premium. Is there an easy way to tell it not to load jQuery?

No. My plugin loads jquery properly (using wordpresses internal functions). The problem doesn’t lie with my plugin, but with other plugins and themes NOT loading jquery properly. It is these that need to be fixed, not my plugin. See https://matthewruddy.com/using-jquery-with-wordpress/

Almost all my support time is currently spent fixing other peoples themes and plugins, not the FYN plugin
