• Many digital marketers rely on this popular plugin, which has been a lifesaver for them. However, recently it has become a headache as the main data layer for “purchase” event doesn’t fire or frequently stops firing.

This issue has been faced by many users of the plugin and unfortunately, there seems to be no permanent solution available. Here are some suggested solutions that have been proposed:

    • Deactivate the plugin and then reactivate it again.
    • Roll back your WordPress from 6.2 to 6.1 as the update is causing issues. The GTM4WP plugin needs to be updated to address the WordPress 6.2 update.
    • There was an update for the WooCommerce Google Analytics Integration plugin hours ago, with the change log stating: Fix – Bug with tracking enhanced eCommerce.
    • Disable WooCommerce Google Analytics Integration but set up the tags only from GTM.

However, none of these solutions appear to be permanent fixes, as the issue still arises after some time. Therefore, I humbly request that Thomas Geiger address this issue once and for all.

    Thank you
    JP

  • WHY haven’t they fixed this? Tracking orders is one of the main reasons anyone uses this plugin. If you cannot do this, the plugin is worthless to me.

It appears Thomas was last active 6 months ago, with an update and replies. Since then there has been nothing either here or the main site.
