• Manual action penalty for using this plugin, meaning deindexed from google search. I didn’t receive any response on the support forum for this plugin, very disappointing.

  • You should be de-indexed from google image search if you use this plugin. Your images aren’t really on google images, so why should it look like they are?

@wonderful Object, probably the author of this plugin should have mentioned that by using it, it could harm your Google Page rank? (although it should be a bit obvious that Google runs their algorithm the way they want to…)

@jacquilyndesigns have you ever considered that one should have the right to develop his/hers website the way he/she wants to?.

If someone wants to avoid hotlinking on images, why not let them do it?

I just red your comment here and it just seems that you are fighting against the wrong person.

Don’t blame the plugin author for writing this plugin. that is just not fair. I’m not the author of this plugin but what you did with such comment is just totally wrong.

Do you know that this is the place for commenting about issues you might find with the software that is posted here and not about the use that people do to the software itself?

    You should.

Have you ever considered I do run my own website the way I want to?

I’m saying if you never want your images to actually appear on google, then the thumbnails shouldn’t be on google either.

Also I can blame the plugin author for writing the plugin. Though if I shouldn’t, who should I blame? The tooth fairy?

Again I’m talking about the software and how it works. The point of google images is to open images, and the goal of this software is to prevent that. So it makes sense for this software to cause a site to show up less on google since that is the goal of this software.
