Pulling selected posts from network

  • Hi guys,

    I’m quite new in Multisite and I would appreciate some hints from you.

    I use WordPress MU Sitewide Tags Pages plugin for getting posts from the network and it works fine, putting ALL posts from network to the main page. I need the ideas how to automatically pull SELECTED (from chosen blogs only) posts into main page.

    What are the options?

    1. rss selection (?) from blog with all posts pulled from network
    2. plugin to do the selection (?)
    3. …

    I’ve tested the solution and it works great – as a widget in side menu.

    However, I would like to have selected posts (from my network) published as original posts in main blog. Thing, that MU Sitewide Tags does for all posts from network when checked option “post to main blog”, but for posts selected at Featured in Featured Posts plugin.

    If yes, I assume I have to paste the code (<?php ra_featured_show(10); ?> ) into the specific spot in my theme to work the way I would like to have, am I right?

    Use SWT on a second blog, and the feature post on the blog you want to show just some posts (like the main one)

    Thanks Andrea, I’ve just did it and featured posts appear in my main blog in posts section.

    However, it is one question. Tags and categories stays at my “tags” blog, because feed doesn’t pull it from. What possibilities do I have to pull it also?

    I tried “Category mapping plugin”, but it doesn’t seem to work – after mapping categories each https://blogaddres/category/category-name page goes empty. Global tags/categories widget pulling from “tags blog” would be strongly appreciated:)
