Pull dynamically or add manually user ID to shortcode

  • Hello,

    1) Is it possible to add user ID (instead of nice_name) into the shortcode to send the message to the user? Manually?

    2) Is it possible to automatically detect from the user profile page the nicename or user ID? The user ID is also displayed in the URL by the way

    format:
    domain/xx/ID/profile

    The problem is that
    Using {current-post-author}, {current-author}, {um-current-author} ALL returned errors because I (admin) am the author.

    1. Passing user id as to also should work with shortcode
    2. Which plugin you are using for this profile structure? You can ask their support to know how we can get user id in that profile page.

    Hello, thanks for the reply.

    1) Manually adding the profile ID to shortcode works ONLY for the button shortcore, creating a submit form doesn’t seem to work

    2) I am using JetEngine. Can you tell me a more specific questions I should ask their support? I’ll open a tech support ticket, but I think I need a more specific question to ask them.

    Also I plan to purchase PRO version, just need to make sure I can get this work in the first place.

    You can ask how to get user id of that user whose profile is being visited.
