Pull related articles from custom post types

I’m interested in using this plugin: it’s the most attractive and easiest to use of the ones I’ve found. The downside is that it currently only reads from posts. I only use custom post types: reviews, articles, interviews, etc. You’re referencing custom post types in the “Metabox integration” setting, but you only pull content from posts. Additionally it would be nice if you’d allow the plugin to pull posts by more than just category or tag; custom taxonomies for example. I have a number of custom tax including publisher, designer, artist, etc.
