• Should this plug-in be able to pull in new colors? Let’s say I establish a colored named “site main” and it is red, then suddenly my client want the “site main” color to be red… Will simply updating “site main” update all the places where this color was used? Some quick experimentation leads me to believe this functionality is not available, but I just wanted to confirm. Thank you for your time!

I am not sure what part of the plugin we are talking about.
Are we talking about the classic editor, the new block editor or the theme customizer, or even another plugin or theme?

If you assign names to colors these names are merely used as an aid within various color pickers and they are not used to maintain a relationship between a name and a color.
This plugin does not magically update all places where you’ve used them, the only exception being the new block editor. This is due to the fact that the new block editor does not actually assign any colors directly to its blocks but CSS classes, or slugs as WordPress is calling them.
These classes/slugs are fixed, so you can both change the color and its name without loosing their usage.

    Dear Daniel,

Thank you so much for your response.

Yes my question was about the “magical update”. I was wondering if establishing a color in the palette as something like “Website Main Color 1” would allow you to use that color throughout your site and then quickly change it (only once) from the plug-in (as apposed to gaining back and changing it every single place it appears in your site) should a brand/project’s color palette suddenly change.

Thank you so much for your time! I appreciate all the work you have put in to make this app – I am excited to start using it!

    Best,

    Grantly
