    Hello,

    1. The link it auto publishes to twitter has our old test directory “/dev/” in the link making it error. I have save the general settings a couple times to clear it also, reconnected the account, but still sending the wront URL to twitter.

    2. Facebook page featured image is selected the wrong image, how can I fix that? It was working right before the last update.

    Thanks!

    Howdy,

For #1: Can you try again now?

For #2: Can you send me the URL of a specific post that it is occurring on?

    Cheers!

I am having a similar problem. The shortlink (wp.me) created directs to a defunct URL and no longer points back to my website.

    Jetpack Mechanic ??

@martian73 When you share a post on Facebook, or when Jetpack Publicize publishes a post to your Facebook page, Facebook crawls the page and looks for Open Graph meta tags in the head to build a complete post preview (with an image, title, description, …).

Jetpack automatically creates these Open Graph Meta tags for you unless you already use another Open Graph plugin, in which case we let the other plugin handle things. Looking at your site, it seems like you’ve installed a plugin that handles Open Graph Meta tags, but you haven’t configured it yet.
Since there are no meta tags in your posts, Facebook consequently picks a random image.

Could you make sure you configure your Open Graph plugin to display the meta tags? If you don’t find such a plugin in the Plugins menu in your dashboard, you’ll want to look for larger plugins that include Open Graph options. WordPress SEO for example includes such settings under SEO > Social, and All In One SEO includes Open Graph Options under All In SEO > Social Meta once you’ve enabled their Social Meta module under All In One > Feature Manager.

Let me know if it helps!

@brightstride I replied in the other thread you started here:

Thanks for the tip, its selecting the right featured image now.

I am publishing to a Facebook profile and a fbook page, so I had to add an additional autopost plugin called: NextScripts: Social Networks Auto-Poster, they had a setting to enable open graph.

    Looks like its working now.

    Thanks again.
