    Good Evening.

I installed Jetpack a couple of weeks ago in the hope to override the need for me to use my twitterfeed to post for me.

I set up facebook, twitter, linked in and Tumblr.

none of these work (luckily have the twitter feed still running as an external service)

I have tried disconnecting them, and connecting them to different pages/services but no Joy.

Any help that can be offered would be great.

    Thank you for your time!

Hi – further to this I just got a notice saying there might be a problem with my linked in connection.

I tried to refresh.. no joy.

I then removed the connection and tried to add it and get this:

“There was a problem creating your connection. Please go back and try again.”

    and also

An invalid request was made. This normally means that something intercepted or corrupted the request from your server to the Jetpack Server. Try again and see if it works this time.

    Error code: 400

I am not sure if it is related, but assumed it might be so thought I would let you know…

the sharing has never worked, however connecting to linked in used to…

The ‘Share this:” head is followed with a pull down menu of official buttons of social networks. I noticed sometimes the hover effect doesn’t work on some old browsers.
Instead, can you suggest some coding with which I can show the official buttons directly in front of ‘Share this:” heading, in a single line, one after another?
If this is possible, it will look very nice. Please help or please suggest me some directions for this.

    Thank you

@the Odd Duck Can you please use Jetpack’s Debugger module to send us some more information about your site?

    1) Go to the Jetpack page in your dashboard.
    2) Click on the Debug link appearing at the bottom of the page.
    3) Click the link that says “click here to contact Jetpack support.”
    4) Fill in the description box and your name and email address.
    5) Click the “Contact Support” button.

Could you also add a list of all your active plugins to that email?

    Thanks!

Hi, I have done as you instructed however once I pressed send it took me to the “contact support” page on jetpack.me rather than give me a confirmation that the email has been sent.. so I have no clue if it has.

in case it didn’t come across for any reason here is the email I sent

Hi, as per the thread on the forum where you requested me to use the debugger and send you an email – which returned “Your Jetpack setup looks a-okay!”

    Hi Jeremy,

I’ve sent a few emails over the last couple of weeks but not had a response.

I assume it is probably just being busy with christmas, but thought I would post here in case my emails have been lost.

Things that have caused publisize to not work.

    • Linked In Connection
    • Using the <!–nextpage–> tag in a post
    • Using “Amazon Products” – a feature of affiliate review plus which lets me select some products to be included in my review.

It would seem that at least these 3 things cause Publisize to not work… if nextpage doesnt work I imagine other tags like the more tag don’t work.

I will keep you posted with any others I find, but for now these are ones I have found.

Is there any way I can fix this?

    Thread Starter Davidian

    (@the-odd-duck)

In fact it now seems to just not work at all again.

Could it be that I included images and links in my posts?

I don’t know.. but it seems publisize doesn’t want to work…

Is there any way to make it work on previous entries?
It has missed so many now…

I also have this same problem with just LinkedIn. I posted this in the “LinkedIn registration error” thread, but perhaps that’s not the best description of the problem. I have used the debug module, which tells me everything is just fine! Thanks for any help.

I’m afraid that won’t be possible. Publicize only works for newly published posts.

    Thread Starter Davidian

    (@the-odd-duck)

I think I have actually worked out the problem.

For some reason if I save a draft and work on it another day and post – it doesn’t publicize

If I write and post or schedule on the same day it does publicize

So my “work around” is that I copy the HTML into a new post before submitting.

    all very strange.

    @the odd duck,
Ya, me to having the same problem. Sometimes, there are weird problems on WP.
No, don’t say, to delete browser history and that…
Actually I work on private (incognito) browser.
    May be, I don’t know.
