I have a client using the Cresent Theme (has its own testimonials built in that leaves a lot to be desired) Anyway when I publish the testimonials and try to view them the URLs are invalid. (this page does not exist error) In unpublished form I can preview them just fine. Everything else appears to be working but I cannot display a read more to a broken link. Any idea whats going on?

The theme and plugin are battling over the “/testimonial” part of the URL. Themes are loaded after plugins so themes win.

Try resetting the permalinks but going to admin > Settings > Permalinks and simply clicking “Save Changes”.

If that doesn’t help and if you don’t want to use their testimonials at all and you’re not afraid of poking around the theme files, we should be able to disable them.

Thank you for the quick reply! Changing the permalink structure worked!

Glad to hear that. Keep in mind you may have to do that anytime you switch or update the theme.
