• I’m having problems publishing and updating my posts and pages.
Whenever I hit “publish” my browser (firefox) just loads and loads, then finally after a long time I get the standard “Problem loading page”, “The connection was reset”-message in the browser.
Earlier today, I restarted my computer and tried to publish again. It worked, and I was happy, until I discovered that the last 300 words in the article I had spent a lot of time writing was just gone.

It worked perfectly a couple of days ago, and I don’t understand what’s happening. Also, I haven’t found anyone else reporting the same problem, so I think I need some help here. I’m really new at this.

  • What’s the site URL?

Have you tried clearing your browser cache and cookies and/or using another browser?

You could also try deactivating your plugins – in case any are causing some issue.

It also looks like your site is loading kinda slow…so possibly on the server side? Given that your site looks pretty simple, I’d expect it to load faster.

    Thanks!

The site actually loads pretty quickly here. But I will definitely try the browser/plugins suggestions.

Slow loading for me may be a Starbucks WiFi issue – LOL!

    Hmm…

So it’s not the cookies or cache. It’s not the plugins. It doesn’t work in Internet Explorer either, so it’s not a browser thing.
And I contacted Bluehost to ask for help, and they did not have any problems. In fact, the guy from Bluehost was able to publish and update posts and pages on my account from where he was sitting.

It’s becoming obvious that this could be a problem with my computer. Any ideas on what it could be, or how to fix it?
