Thanks for putting together this excellent plugin. I installed the plugin and believe I have successfully completed all of the configuration steps (signed up for instant articles, connected the plugin to my Facebook app with secret key, connect the plugin to my Facebook page, claimed my Url, installed the pages manager app on my phone, edited the default style template settings).

Now that I have the plugin installed and configured, I am confused about how I actually go about publishing articles and testing them. A few questions:

    1. Whenever I publish a new post (or save an existing) post is the post automatically submitted as an Instant Article or do I need to tag/categorize it specifically in Word Press for it to appear?
    2. How do I view posts that have been submitted as instant articles for testing? I downloaded and installed the pages manager on my phone, I am confused as to how I use this app to test the instant articles.
    3. Do I need to make any modifications to the article formatting (documentation outlined in Instant Articles Format Reference) or does the plugin automatically handle the formatting?

Thank you for your help and please respond when you have a chance.

    Hi trebor33,

    Thanks for the questions:

    1. It is automatic once you connect to your page in the Settings screen.

    2. You need to click on the “…” icon on the top bar, then navigate to “Instant Articles” on the list of options.

    3. The plugin does it best to transform the formatting automatically. On the post view you’ll see a warning on the Instant Articles box if the plugin was unable to handle some part of your code. In this case you’ll need to create a custom rule to handle that part.

Let me know if that was clear =)

Thanks for getting back to me with the additional information on publishing testing articles. I will have to spend some time reviewing the documentation links you provided within the plugin for the custom transformer rules, thanks for including these links in the plugin. Is there a brief example you could provide outlining how to use the transformer rules to address warning error messages? Not sure I completely understand the concept outlined in the documentation.

Thanks again for your help! I appreciate all of the time you have taken to respond to everyone’s questions.
