Publisher Center set up, but not showing in Google News Search

    Hi RavanH
    Is there an increased chance of showing up in the google news search when I use your plugin? At the moment, we set up the publisher and it crawls the articles, but we cannot get found in google news search.

    The topic is a niche and we have traffic, so it should be doable.

  • Hi, the news sitemap will help GN to get (and index) your latest news as soon as possible. This is done via a ping on each new post. But it still remains up to GN to decide what to do with your content.

    Adding the news sitemap in your Search Console account will help you monitor indexation and errors.

    I would say it mostly depends on your content if/when you show up in GN or not, but if timing (in your niche) is important, then the news sitemap might very well help push your news a bit more.
