Published Web Stories Show 404 page?

1) Are you able to access the Permalink from the Stories Editor Document Panel?

2) Could you try to reset the permalink structure by going your WP?Settings > Permalinks?> clicking save without changing anything?Next, set the Web Stories to Public and update the post once more.

Thanks for replying. I hope we can together resolve this strange issue.

1) Are you able to access the Permalink from the Stories Editor Document Panel? —— Yes, that is how we choose what should be the Permalink of the story.

To show you, see I have changed the permalink from the document editor. Just removed 2023 from the permalink.

2) Could you try to reset the permalink structure by going your WP?Settings > Permalinks?> clicking save without changing anything?Next, set the Web Stories to Public and update the post once more. —— Did all of that. Still 404 error comes after publishing. But as soon as you switch back to draft, you can preview it again, and everything looks find with no errors.

Could you please go to Stories > Settings > Stories Archives and let me know what you have this currently set to?

Could I also check with you what you have your permalink structure set to? You can check this by going to?Settings > Permalinks.

Hello @tamtam2023 , your stories are no longer going to 404 pages when I click on it, and the Stories archive page is also loading with Stories. Are you still seeing the issue on your end?

The stories are still going to 404 pages when I click on them. I have published only one story for which the URL is given below.

@tamtam2023 Do you experience the same issue when using a Chrome incognito window?

No, by using a Chrome incognito window, the stories are apparently working. It did not give 404 page error.

What to do now?

@tamtam2023 If Stories work in an incognito window then you may have a conflict elsewhere with perhaps caching, a browser extension, or another plugin. Try disabling browser extensions and plugins, then enabling them one by one until the issue occurs.

@luckynasan All plugins were disabled earlier to see if stories work but it didn’t. Regarding browser extensions, the stories do not even work in Microsoft Edge in which no extensions are installed.

Regarding caching, we use WP Rocket on our website.

They are still not working in any browser which has minimal or no plugin. For example, they don’t even work on Microsoft Edge.
This problem is quite frustrating and faced by many users on the internet.

How to get this resolved?
