just to confirm, is this under admin-dashboard Events > events or in events listing page or wp fullcalendar?

It’s both in the admin dashboard, and any place listing events on the front end, including the default domain.com/events/ and the Events widget.

Are you using any custom code relating to Events Manager?

Not really. I have a a WP_Query on the front page to pull the most recent event, and a custom my-bookings.php template in the theme.

does it work if you temporarily disable your custom codes?

Well, those templates aren’t run if you’re not on the front page or on the my-bookings.php page. So they wouldn’t fire on the events listing page, in the widget, or in the admin screens, where the problem also exists.

This sounds like a possible conflict caused by your theme or another plugin. To check if it is, can you test with all other plugins deactivated and while running the default WordPress theme?

I tried using the default theme and disabling all of the plugins, to no avail. The client ended up recreating the events, and those worked fine.

Once I saw that, I took a closer look at the past events. They were all recurring events, and they all happened to have expired around the same time they did the update to 5.6.4.

Moral of the story: Horses, not zebras.

I don’t see how this is resolved, actually. Yes, all past events disappeared, but surely there should be an archive! There used to be one. All the Events on my client’s site disappeared after the upgrade, and it just says “No Events” on the webpage. In Settings, “Enable Archive” is checked. It took me a while just to figure out how to find & view the events in the Admin panel.

Does anyone know how to make the archived past events show up again on the webpage? I never used any shortcodes–just “Add Event” and the plugin did the rest.
