• I’m noticing when I add “Published at” as a secondary dimension in Google Analytics, the pageviews for my page change by 100–400%.

    In other words, Google will say a certain page got 20,000 pageviews in a certain time period. Then I will add “published at” as the secondary dimension, and the pageviews for that page will go down to 9,000.

    The “published at” custom dimension is coming from Yoast. I’m still not sure why it’s doing this. Other custom dimensions like Author and SEO score don’t have this effect.

    Could it have to do with the sampling that GA performs?
