    Hello,

Since switching over our clients’s websites to BPS, I’ve recently received a couple reports of sites that are now unable to port to Facebook via Jetpack. I had added the suggested code for Jetpack that popped up in a notification when I initially activated BPS. I checked the security logs as well as apache logs, but neither were able to help me troubleshoot the issue. If you could please provide me with any assistance in either a fix or what more I can do on my end to troubleshoot this, it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

I don’t understand this phrase below. Are you seeing a BPS Security Log entry for whatever is being blocked? If so, please post the Security Log entry so I can see it.

sites that are now unable to port to Facebook via Jetpack

I’m sorry, I mistyped post as port somehow. Unfortunately I’m not seeing a log entry for whatever is being blocked or denied so right now I’m at a bit of a loss.

Yeah I thought that was a typo, but I still do not understand this corrected phrase: “sites that are now unable to post to Facebook via Jetpack”. So is there a technical name for this or some feature in Jetpack that posts to facebook? What I am not understanding is what the exact problem is so I cannot relate it to anything in BPS for troubleshooting. ??

So I guess just do the BPS troubleshooting steps here: https://forum.ait-pro.com/forums/topic/read-me-first-free/#bps-free-general-troubleshooting and also look at the Custom Code note since the problem could be caused by some Custom Code that you added. Let me know what happens after doing the BPS troubleshooting steps.

This is an oddity for me as well, since it came to me as something I’ve never used and was given little details. The colleague who reported believed it to be caused by BPS since supposedly it had started after the switch-over, and I was hoping I would be lucky in you having any idea of what was being said. Thank you for the additional troubleshooting information, I can happily say BPS was not affecting this now. Sorry for the trouble, and thanks again for the troubleshooting info!

Great! And yeah not so great that I unfortunately don’t have any helpful ideas to contribute to solving whatever the problem could be. ?? In general, just do the good old process of elimination troubleshooting method to try and isolate the source of the root issue|problem. ie disable this or that and test, etc etc etc.
