• I have built a WordPress site on local and I pushed it to a live sight. On the live sight my landing page is incorrect. It may be because when developing it does not have a publish button unlike my other pages. My landing page includes a header, body, and footer and my other pages lack the header and footer. How can I publish my landing page since it is not technically considered a “page”?

  • I assume with “Landing page” you mean the start page that a visitor will see when they just enter the main URL of your site and no additional page address?

In order to use a specific page as the start page, you to to “Settings → Reading” and select that you want to use a “static page” as your start page.
Next, in the dropdown select which of your created and published pages should be used as start page.
If you do this setting, then you can also select another page where WordPress automatically will replace the content with a list of your blog posts. (So you might publish, say, an empty page called “News” and use it for this purpose.)
