Publicize v5.9 can’t post to facebook automatically

When you share a post on Facebook, or when Jetpack Publicize publishes a post to your Facebook page, Facebook crawls the page and looks for Open Graph meta tags in the head to build a complete post preview (with an image, title, description, …). Jetpack automatically creates these Open Graph Meta tags for you.

Looking at your site, Jetpack’s Open Graph meta tags work just fine, but something else (your theme or another plugin) is adding another set of tags:

Unfortunately Facebook does not handle things well when you have 2 sets of tags on your site. I would consequently recommend that you remove the additional set of Open Graph Meta Tags you’ve added, and then try to publish a brand new post again.

I understand that this is frustrating, but adding more plugins to your site won’t fix the problem causing this.

I can still see those Open Graph tags on your site, and it looks like it’s your site’s theme that are adding those.

Please contact your theme’s developer directly to find out if those can be disabled so you can use the tags added by Jetpack instead. It looks like you should be able to contact your theme’s developer from here:

You could also disable Jetpack’s Open Graph tags and use your theme’s instead, but as your theme does not add tags for, for example, image width and height you might run into an issue where images from your posts won’t share to Facebook should you do that. So for Publicize to work correctly it’s really best to use Jetpack’s tags, not your theme’s.

Where did you place the code snippet the theme author recommended? It may be worth trying to add it to a functionality plugin like this one:

That warning is normal if you didn’t create a Facebook app for your website. In other words, you can just ignore that warning, as it doesn’t apply to your site and won’t prevent Publicize from correctly sharing your content to Facebook.
