    Hi,

I’m referring to the same issue as a lot of other users, however as I’ve been reading the issue has been fixed for most of them and for my website publicize is still not working correctly, as it has been before. It publishes successfully to Twitter without a problem but not Facebook. I have disconnected the connection with Facebook multiple times but it didn’t make any change. Please advise.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

So, the problem earlier was an inability to _connect_ Publicize to Facebook in the first place, that was indeed corrected.

When you try reconnecting to Facebook, is the the _full_ procedure detailed at https://jetpack.com/support/publicize/facebook/#reconnecting-facebook

I’ve got the same issue as described above. I just installed 7.4.1 and tried the procedure you’ve mentioned, but no luck. Still no connection.

    What can i do?

@mdgarts could you disconnect and reconnect Facebook under your sharing settings on the account that isn’t publishing properly? You have a few different Facebook connections with different usernames on the site. Some are broken and need to be reconnected. None of them are “global” , and my guess is the account that isn’t publishing to Facebook is not included in the working facebook connection.

@michelvandergraaf74 your issue could be due to a bad connection to Jetpack. Would you be willing to go to https://jetpack.com/support/debug/ to test your connection? Then if you still need help, please create a new thread here so we won’t be bothering @mdgarts , as their issue is different.

I have disconnected and reconnected to Facebook step by step according to the procedure and it’s still not sharing to Facebook even though the connection is successful. Also I have been using the same account to connect to Facebook all throughout, and it was working before, and stopped when the issue appeared of not being able to connect Publicize to Facebook.

OK. Earlier I think the one you disconnected and reconnected was not set to “Make the connection available to all users of the blog” and now it seems to be.

Can you let us know next time someone posts?

Also, on the individual posts, is there any chance someone has unchecked the publish to Facebook option?

This morning when new posts got published publicize shared them to Twitter and still not Facebook.
The boxes on individual posts to share are checked off for both Twitter and Facebook, the connection to Facebook is successful and when I go to debug jetpack I receive “Your Jetpack setup looks a-okay!”, and again publicize was sharing to Facebook before without problem and I haven’t changed any settings.

Just double-checking, https://www.facebook.com/spillwords/ is where you’re expecting these to be posted, right?

Looking at the logs on our end, only your Twitter connection was selected when the last post https://spillwords.com/interview-qa-with-ricky-hawthorne/ went out.

What editor are you using when you write these posts? Is it WordPress’s built-in editor, the editor on WordPress.com, one of the apps, another editor plugin, etc?

    Thread Starter mdgarts

    (@mdgarts)

Yes, that is the Facebook account that posts should publish to, and each post, including the mentioned above, was set to be published to both Twitter and Facebook. So the plugin somehow doesn’t see that Facebook connection was selected?

Also, I’m using standard built-in editor that’s part of wordpress with Classic Editor plugin (Enables the WordPress classic editor and the old-style Edit Post screen with TinyMCE, Meta Boxes, etc.)

    Hm, yeah that should work.

Ok, please try deleting Jetpack specifically from the Plugins section of your blog’s Dashboard: https://jetpack.com/support/reconnecting-reinstalling-jetpack/#reinstalling-jetpack

This will clear out Jetpack’s settings, and it should work properly after a reinstall, assuming something is wrong with that checkbox setting.

I just reinstalled jetpack again as per your advice. Tomorrow as the posts get published I’ll follow up if it fixed the issue. Thank you.

Excellent, please let us know how it goes!

Unfortunately, it didn’t correct the error, the posts were shared to Twitter but not to Facebook.

Ok, please contact us via https://jetpack.com/contact-support/?rel=support so we can take a closer look.

    Sorry about that!
