    Jetpack Mechanic ??

Jetpack Publicize uses its own applications (named “WordPress.com”) to publish to your connected Social networks. This way, you do not need to create a Developer account and create your own applications for each Social Network.

That also means that each post is posted by an application named WordPress.com instead of using your own application name. If you’d like to use your own applications, you will have to use a different plugin.

    Jeremy or anyone else,

Do you have any idea why it seems like Jetpack Publicize randomly decides when it will show a picture on my Facebook wall when I do a post? Sometimes, it shows a pic on FB, sometimes it doesn’t. I can’t figure out why. Thanks!

    My FBprofile.

Facebook uses Open Graph meta tags to gather information about each one of your posts. Jetpack adds these tags to your posts for you, but you can also use other plugins instead.
However, even if your post includes an Image meta tag, Facebook might ignore it if the image is less than 200px wide x 200px high.

You can check the status of one of your posts by entering its URL in the Facebook Debugger:
    https://developers.facebook.com/tools/debug

That should help you understand why the image doesn’t appear when trying to share the post on Facebook.
