publicize not working with facebook

Could you walk me through the steps you usually follow to publish a post? Do you use a third-party app to publish your posts? Do you publish them directly, or do you schedule your posts? Do you publish your posts as Private first, and make them public later on?

anyway, i am not using any third party aap for publishing post. i am having multisite and none of my subsite is working properly with facebook and publicize. i am not scheduling my post and post status is public always.

i recently came to know one of my subsite is using mp3j-player plugin. when i activated jetpack plugin mp3j-player is not working. why these two are conflicting? please give me some solution for it.

That checkbox is unchecked before your post is already published. Publicize will only be triggered for newly published posts.

Looking at our logs, it seems that your posts are published as “Private” first, and then marked as “Public” later on. Since Publicize is not triggered for Private posts, it won’t work.
I’d suggest working on your posts as Drafts, and then publish them right away as Public.

I’m not familiar with that plugin, but you shouldn’t need any plugin to add audio players to your posts. WordPress itself includes this functionality:

P.S.: It’s worth noting that we reply to every thread from the oldest to the newest. Every time you bump a thread, it goes back to the bottom of the queue, so I’d recommend against it.

– sometimes i am not able to see featured image.
– with post title post url is also showing which is i dont want.
– for previous post i can see some code layout which is not looks good on page.

You’ll want to make sure you use a large Featured Image, larger than 200x200px. If the image is too small, Facebook won’t add any image to your post preview.

with post title post url is also showing which is i dont want.

Jetpack’s Publicize always includes the Post URL along with the post title. I’m afraid you won’t be able to remove that link.

for previous post i can see some code layout which is not looks good on page.

That’s indeed a known issue with Publicize. Until we fix this problem, I’d recommend that you create a custom excerpt for posts where you insert shortcodes in the beginning of your post content. You can do so thanks to the “Excerpt” meta box appearing below the visual editor in your dashboard.
